Frequently Ask Questions

Do I need prior experience or a license to rent equipment?

For non-motorized equipment (kayaks, paddleboards, snorkeling gear), no prior experience is required; our team will provide a brief orientation to get you comfortable. For motorized watercraft (jet skis, dinghies), a valid driver’s license is typically required for the operator. Depending on local laws, you may also need to complete a quick, temporary boating safety test on-site if you do not possess a specific boating license.

Is safety gear included with the rental?

Yes, your safety is our top priority. Every rental includes a properly fitted, Coast Guard-approved life jacket (PFD) which must be worn at all times while on the water. We also provide equipment-specific safety items, such as kill-switch lanyards for jet skis, paddles, and safety whistles, at no additional cost.

What happens if the weather turns bad during my rental?

Tropical weather can be unpredictable. If we determine conditions are unsafe (e.g., high winds, lightning, rough seas) before your rental starts, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule. If you are already on the water and we recall you early due to safety concerns, we will issue a pro-rated refund for the time you were unable to use.

Can I share the equipment with friends or family?

Absolutely. You are welcome to swap riders during your rental period. However, all participants who will use the equipment must sign the liability waiver and attend the safety briefing before getting on the water. Please also strictly adhere to the maximum weight and passenger capacity limits for each vessel.

Are there age restrictions for children?

  • Passengers: Children are generally welcome as passengers on kayaks and paddleboards if they fit securely in a child-size life jacket and are accompanied by an adult.
  • Drivers: To operate motorized equipment like jet skis, drivers typically must be at least 16 or 18 years old with a valid ID. Passengers on jet skis usually must be at least 6 years old and able to hold on securely.

What is your cancellation policy?

We offer a full refund for cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to your reservation time. Cancellations made within the 24-hour window may be subject to a fee or forfeiture of the deposit. If you simply need to move your time slot, we will do our best to accommodate rescheduling requests based on availability.
